Hp omen 16
Microsoft Windows 11

I've hp omen 16 want to ask that will my laptop bypass electricity to other compnenets rather than to battery? Would it be safe of i plugged in charger after fully charged? And is yes then would it require any further settings or is this built-in? And lastly how can i manage my battary power or charging percentage limit? When i go to bios setting it only show me adaptive optimizer

Is this the only option for power limiting or have any other settings to limit the charging

Hello,

Great questions! Here's a concise rundown for you:

  1. Bypass Electricity to Components: Yes, modern laptops like the HP Omen 16 generally bypass electricity to other components once the battery is fully charged. This means the laptop operates directly on AC power, preserving battery health.

  2. Plugging Charger After Full Charge: You can safely leave your charger plugged in even after the battery is fully charged. Built-in mechanisms will stop charging to prevent overcharging.

  3. Managing Battery Power: The "Adaptive Battery Optimizer" in BIOS is designed to manage your battery’s health. Unfortunately, it might be the only built-in setting available on your machine for now.

Looking to dive deeper into your laptop's power settings, or is this exactly what you needed?
