I need help contacting HP Support.  My Omen laptop is out of warranty by 7 months and I can't contact HP about a trackpad failure which supposedly was fixed in a previous repair.  This has been incredibly frustrating!

A few months after buying my Omen 14, my trackpad stopped working.  I tried everything with HP support over the phone, and eventually HP asked me to send it for repair.  After several weeks I got the laptop back with the promise that the issue was fixed.  It worked for about a week until it stopped working again.  HP asked me to send it for repair, again!  And after almost another month without my laptop, I received it, this time with the promise that the issue was solved for good.  I was told the trackpad was replaced (and I don't remember, but I think the motherboard was also replaced).

Here we are 7 months later, and the trackpad is not not working again.  But now my laptop is out of warranty, so I'm finding it impossible to contact HP.  It's ridiculous how hard it is to talk or email someone!

Has anyone else had issues with their trackpad? HP, can someone please contact me?

The private message sent wasn't helpful at all!  This is ridiculous!  There is no phone number available for me to call because my laptop is out of warranty.  This is a failed repair but there is no way for me to get in contact with HP support.  When I follow the path suggested, all I can see are options where I need to pay for extended support or find an authorized service center.  I went to Best Buy / Geek Squad and they told me to talk to HP since this is really an issue with a repair that wasn't properly done.  What is HP's support number?

Thank you for getting back to me, but this is the second time that someone asks me to go to a private chat to give me the same information, which isn't helpful at all.  It feels like you don't want any sort of negative feedback or experience to be publicly available while not helping your customers.

When I follow the directions sent in the private chat and I still don't see any HP Phone support number or chat option.  The only options given to me are: HP Smart Friend, HP Support Community, HP Service Center Locator and Find an Expert.

Can you please share the Support Phone Number that you would like me to call?

I completely understand how frustrating this must feel,  I do want to be transparent with you  since your Omen Transcend 14 is currently out of warranty, In this situation, the best course of action we can recommend is to visit an authorized HP service center, where certified technicians can provide hands‑on diagnostics and repair on chargeable basis.

I know this isn’t the answer you were hoping for, but visiting a service center is the most reliable way to address the trackpad issue on an out‑of‑warranty unit.

Hi, i have the same exact issue. My touchpad was working fine for 2 years until it stopped working. I realized by looking online that HP is famous for grounding issues on OMEN laptops. If you google OMEN touchpad fix you will find people fixing the issue by grounding the trackpad to some screws in the pc. The issue i have is that trying that did not solve the issue, most probably because i didn't do it properly. So i suggest you try and ask a repair shop to do it for you. I will do it as soon as i finish writing my thesis since now i cannot stay more than a few hours without my pc. If you manage to fix it that way, please answer me on this blog so i have a feedback and i can do it too.
