HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1000 Laptop PC (9EK36AV)

Hi everyone, hope you doing alright.

Well, my laptop was working fine with 8GB ram, but suddenly there's only 4GB showing.

Let me confuse you a little bit, I downloaded a software called CPU-Z, which I'm sure you are all familiar with.

Well, CPU-Z is showing both rams, but my bios and windows aren't picking that up somehow.

I tried upgrading Bios and resetting CMOS, and none of that made a progress.

As you'll find on the screenshots both rams are compatible, they're actually factory sticks.

I need help please, if someone knows anything that might help me fix this, I'll be grateful.

Thanks.

Hi @GatriMohamedAli

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are facing RAM-related issues on your system. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

May I know from when are you facing this issue?

Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it?

Please note, if the DIMM isn't completely perpendicular to the slot and the motherboard or the clips cannot be exactly snapped, then the DIMM isn't fully inserted. So you should remove the DIMM and try again.

Also, please run a hardware scan to identify the exact cause of this issue. Here is a link that will help: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2854458-2733239-16

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
