Welcome to HP Community
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
I suggest you perform a System Test to confirm the Hardware Functionality first
- Shut down the Notebook completely
- Turn it back on, then tap the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup menu screen is displayed.
- Press F2 to select System Diagnostics.
- Click System Tests, then click Extensive Test.
If all the Tests pass, please perform a Reset. Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04758961

The hardware is completely fine.
The reset link you provided is for PC's.
Can reset from going in the settings->update& security->recovery and perform the reset.
Also will the windows 10 will automatically get installed or I have to do something and which version of it will be installed.
