I’ve had my HP Gaming Laptop for a year and 2 weeks now, and within the past week it has twice shut down mid-operation, without warning. The first time I thought maybe the battery had gotten unplugged, but when I checked the battery level after the second time the computer was showing full power. Nonetheless, I ran a standard diagnostic check, and received the following error information:
- Error ID: RSPAWF-96P9SR-XD7W3F-C0BF03
- Battery Check: Primary - Replace (42)
- Primary: Logic State - OK (0), Charge State - Blown Fuse (42)
When I tried to contact support, I reached a page that said calling support would cost a fee. So instead I private messaged someone off of the chat board who had answered a similar question. But now I’m putting this here in case anyone can help!
For context, I use the machine infrequently, but keep it charging all the time. This is because in the past it’s died just sitting still: this computer’s battery life is non-existent (for a gaming laptop- a high calling). However, other than that this computer has been a find tool for the hobby. Wish it would work!

Hello @Tuba_the_Payne
I can ask if HP can have someone contact you. They either will or they wont, all I can do is try.
And just to note, while we can use the PCs plugged in all the time, HP recommends unplugging the charger if its going to be sitting unused for a few weeks. As a rule of thumb, I unplug mine after use. But if its several weeks before I can use it, I will periodically plug it back in.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
