HP Omen Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Well two issues here first one being bluetooth devices not showing up and when they do show up and try to connect it either fails or connects and doesn't work, not sure if its a driver issue or a hardware issue if theres anyway to check that, that would be nice. I am using an HP Omen Laptop. Second issue is when I try to plug in a headphone into the headphone jack the audio sounds like its very washed out, speakers sound fine, also not sure if driver or hardware issue, ran the HP diagnostics "extensive" and it seems everything is suppose to be okay. Although theres still those two issues, as I said not sure if this is a hardware or software issue, I'm hoping that they are both software issues though as I've literally just got this laptop back from repairs today. Could it possibly be from updating this computer to Windows 10? As it originally came installed with Windows 8, Thanks in advance and hope to hear from someone soon!

As I understand you are having issues connecting Bluetooth device and headphone Jack sounds washed out when plugged in. Don't worry I'll try my best to help you with this,

Let's start by performing a Hard reset on the notebook: A power reset (or hard restart) clears all information from the computer's memory without erasing any personal data. Performing a power reset might fix conditions such as Windows not responding, a blank display, software freezing, the keyboard stops responding, or other external devices locking up.

Did you make any software or hardware changes to your PC/Tablet?

Do you get any error message when connecting to the Bluetooth?

Try the steps recommended below to connect the Bluetooth device on your PC.

If the Bluetooth audio devices or the wireless keyboard and mouse can't be detected by the Bluetooth on your computer, try to remove it and then add it again.
1. Go to the Control Panel. Click "Hardware and Sound" and "Bluetooth Devices".
2. Select the device that's not working and click "Remove".
3. Click "Add" and press the reset button on the device.
4. Select "My device is set up and ready to be found" check box and click "Next".
5. When the Bluetooth device is found, select it, click "Next" and follow the rest of the wizard.
Note: If the Bluetooth device is not found, repeat the steps from 1 to 4.

to connect to your computer. Try the steps below:
1. Go to Control Panel. Click "Hardware and Sound" and "Bluetooth Devices".
2. Click the Options tab.
3. Make sure the "Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer" check box is selected.

To connect a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone:
Go to the Start button and select "Settings", "Devices" and "Bluetooth". Click "Add".
Alternatively, go to Control Panel, click "Hardware and Sound" and "Bluetooth Devices". Click "Add".

Regarding the headphone jack issue:

  1. Select the Start  button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
  2. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers" from the list, then right-click on the audio driver (Realtek, IDT etc.), and select Update Driver Software
  3. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
  4. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.
  5. Restart the PC and check again.

If the issue persists, update the BIOS and chipset drivers for your PC, using this link.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes for further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.
