Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx
Linux

The plastic around the hinge has popped open and does not pop back into place, I have tried to tape the casing closed but didn't hold for long. Some pieces of plastics have broken off internally from attempting to open and close, I now just leave it open. The frame is also coming away from the screen.

Would I be able to replace the body of the laptop or will I need to send it off to be replaced?

This laptop has been used daily for the last four years so I believe this is the reason for the body coming apart

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand that your HP notebook casing is damaged.

This sounds like hardware related issue with the Housing and to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers to check the available service options to diagnose the computer physically.  HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
