I recently bought an Hp Omen 15, model #15-dc1079wm and wanted to install a hard drive because the laptop only comes with a 512gb ssd but I ca't find any information for compatible parts for the brackets and the cable

Hello @RedScience,
according to the Maintenance and Service Guide page 24 the Hard drive cable connector has the Spare part number 929450-001 and the Hard drive brackets has the number 929561-001. With those numbers you can find the parts in the internet.
You might look into the notebook, if you need them, because I know, that here in Germany some of the notebooks had these parts preinstalled.
To put a hard drive into your notebook, follow the instructions on pages 37 / 38 of the Guide.
