HP Omen17-cb1521na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have bought a brand new HP Omen laptop only a week ago. Since I got it the fan will not stop. It is ridiculously loud, the keyboard is constantly freezing cold, I have nothing playing in the background, only word small files. I have updated BIOS like it says , all windows updates, etc. as per online page. This is driving me nuts. How do I switch this flipping fan off????

I'm sure you don't want your new laptop to burn up and die on you -- and that is exactly what will happen if you figure out how to turn off the fan!

There are utilities you can download that will allow you to slow down the fan -- but then, the laptop will overheat and you will have a thermal crash -- and those are often fatal.  So, once again, you risk trashing the laptop only to keep it quiet.

You paid for free HP Tech Support as part of the warranty coverage, so you might as well make use of it.

Unfortunately, we are NOT HP Tech Support and we have no way to diagnose or repair your PC, so while this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting and repairing your machine remotely.

I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet to check out the problems.

If they are unable to fix your PC, then you need to explore what options you have to get it replaced under the warranty.
