Hey guys!
I'm new here, so forgive me if my post is in the wrong place or it might even sound a bit dumb..
So, i got a brand new HP Omen, 16GB Ram, GTX1050, core i7, etc. But when i try to do any gaming of sorts, the laptop pretty much instantly gets between 65° - 75° . I've tried playing and it runs Overwatch on High and Fornite on High with the same results.. So is this normal or do i have a problem?
for the record, this is the first time i've actually gotten hold of a proper gaming laptop and i've heard that 70° or so is pretty normal, but this seems a bit hot for what the laptop is supposed to be..?
Any help would be appreciated 🙂
Thanks 😄

That is normal and it is a good temperature.
If you every need to you can go into your BIOS and enable Fan Always On.

To better assist you, we would need the exact model number or product number of your laptop/desktop???

Thats ok I just got home from work.
TJUNCTION 100°C MAX
Junction Temperature is the maximum temperature allowed at the processor die
https://ark.intel.com/products/97185/Intel-Core-i7-7700HQ-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_80-GHz
So between 65° - 75° is not to bad.

@RE051ST
Alright, but is it normal for it to do that even though it's brand new?
I mean, i get that there would be heat for a laptop with all of that inside it, but is it normal for it to heat up so quickly even though it's brand new..?
I thought laptops like this wouldn't heat up so fast
What i mean is, should i be worried that it gets this hot when it's brand new?

" i get that there would be heat for a laptop with all of that inside it, but is it normal for it to heat up so quickly even though it's brand new..?"
Absolutley. Games tax the hardware and resourses right away and cause heat. Your fans should start spinning faster as soon as a game is initiated.
Example of a Omen with Assasigns Creed at first opening...
Before starting the game...
Soon after opening the game (before playing)...
Like @REO51ST pointed out, you are fine.

Sorry for the late reply again.. I'm actually switching departments at work so my work has been absolutely crazy.
Thanks for the help everyone!
If it's normal, then i guess theres not much to worry about.
Again, Thanks! 🙂
