Hp omen w250tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All

There was a sound when I was working in laptop and noticed that there is a slight bulge in right bottom side of Laptop next to track pad. Is this a critical issue.

I bought this HP Omen laptop w250tx on Jan 2018 and it is working fine still. Is this bulge a sign to bigger problem can i continue working?

Thanks

Hari

The bulge is a sign that your battery is failing. Yes it needs to be removed as you dont want to risk causing any further damage if the cell leaks.

You can find a third party replacement online if you wish. HP does not sell those batteries.

Or you can run the laptop on AC power only. It will not hurt the computer to do so.

The battery model is written on the battery.

Battery 6 cell, 95 WH, 4.15 Ah, LI  853294-855
