Hi @AnwitNikam,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your Victus by HP camera not showing up in the Device Manager, it may indicate a hardware connection issue or a driver issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve it:
Check Camera Privacy Settings:
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera and make sure the camera access is enabled for apps that need it.
Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter:
- Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters and run the Camera troubleshooter if available.
- You can also run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by typing msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic in the Run dialog (Win + R).
Update System and Drivers:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates to ensure Windows 11 and all drivers are up to date.
- Check for driver updates specifically in HP Support Assistant if you have it installed, or download the latest drivers from HP’s support website.
Check Hidden Devices in Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager, click on View > Show hidden devices, and check if the camera appears under Imaging devices or Cameras.
- If the camera shows up, right-click and select Update driver or Enable device if it’s disabled.
Reset the Camera App:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps and search for the Camera app.
- Select Advanced options and choose Repair or Reset.
BIOS Update and Settings Check:
- Check if there’s a BIOS update available on the HP support site, as BIOS updates can sometimes fix hardware detection issues.
- If you're comfortable with BIOS settings, boot into BIOS (usually by pressing F10 during startup) and check for any settings related to the camera or onboard devices.
Perform a Power Reset:
- Turn off the laptop, disconnect it from any power sources, and press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power and turn it on to see if this resolves the issue.
