Hi @Anitej

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It seems like your HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa0666TX is experiencing a camera issue, and the fact that it's not showing up in Device Manager suggests a driver or hardware problem.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check for Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click Check for updates and install any available updates. Restart your laptop afterward.

2. Scan for Hardware Changes

  • Open Device Manager (press Windows + X and select "Device Manager").
  • Click Action > Scan for hardware changes. This might detect the camera and reinstall its driver.

3. Manually Install Camera Driver

  • Visit the HP Support website and search for your laptop model (Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa0666TX).
  • Download and install the latest camera driver for your laptop.

4. Enable Camera Access

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
  • Ensure that camera access is enabled for apps and Windows.

5. Update BIOS

  • Outdated BIOS firmware can cause hardware detection issues. Check for BIOS updates on the HP Support website and install them.

6. Reset Windows

  • If the issue persists, consider resetting Windows to its default settings:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery.
    • Select Reset this PC and follow the on-screen instructions.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Regards,
