Can I Upgrade Internally

I would like to upgrade the laptop's storage from 256gb to 1tb  and add an extra 8 GB of ram.  I read in the manual that there are 2 memory slots.  is that 2 ram slots or 2 storage slots?  I also wanted to know if my upgrades would be doable?

I believe that it has two memory slots.  Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop.  On Pages 34 and 35 is a list of compatible memory sizes and instructions on removing and replacing it.  Read the information carefully.  Note that it emphasizes to update the BIOS before upgrading the memory.  Also, on Pages 41 and 42 is a list of compatible M,2 SSD's and instructions for removing and replacing them.  You can buy other manufacturer's M.2 drives.
