Can I add a m2 ssd into my gaming laptop to increase storage?

HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-dk0096wm / 1A2E1UA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just want to know without opening my laptop first, if i can add a ssd m2 nvme inside, so i can increase my total storage.

Unfortunately, the Product Specifications don't state if you have a M.2, SSD or a Hard Drive Disk (HDD) installed: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-gaming-15-dk0000-laptop-pc/26122224/model/37933873/...

 

Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06377664

 

On Pages 36 thru 38 is a list of Hard Drives (HDD) and instructions for removing and installing them.  You could remove the HDD and install a standard SSD.

 

On Pages 41 and 42 is a list of NVMe, M.2, SSD's, that are compatible with the motherboard and instructions on removing and installing them.

 

If you are not proficient with working on computers/laptops it is recommended that you allow an Authorized Service Provider do the install.  The repairs won't void your warranty, but if you damage other components the warranty is void.
