Pavilion Gaming 15-cx0812no

Hello all

Newbie, not overly tech-wise, hope you can help with simple question.

I want to buy a Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0812no (it's on sale). It has a 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD installed. This is not much storage, and I cannot solely rely on the cloud for my work. I would like to supplement by installing a 2.5" ssd. I cannot find out whether this is possible, Crucial's website says yes, but is that correct?

The laptop: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/hp-pavilion-gaming-15-cx0000-laptop-pc/20284020/model/22993495/...

Crucial on upgrades: https://eu.crucial.com/eur/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-gaming-15-cx0812no

Any help is very much appreciated!

Cheers

Hello @Rask79

Yes the Crucial website it correct. It will support either Sata or NVMe M.2 SSDs.

There is no capacity limit on what drive you can install.

Page 45 of the manual explains how to access the drive... http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05985643
