Hello. I have ''Adaptive battery optimizer'' enabled in BIOS but was wondering if I can leave my charger plugged in while gaming even though the battery is at 100%. Ideally I would love to limit the maximum capacity to 80% but from what I understand such function does not exist. Will I damage my battery more by doing this, or is ''Adaptive battery optimizer'' good enough for this?
Any help is Appreciated!

Hi:
Personally, I don't think it is a good idea to constantly leave your notebook plugged in.
That is because when the battery is in a constant high state of charge it may swell.
The adaptive battery optimizer should help mitigate the problem, however.

Just look at the many posts regarding swollen batteries...
Once a month, I run the notebook off the battery only and let it discharge to the low battery warning.
Then I plug it back in and charge the battery again.
