Omen by HP Laptop 15-ce0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I have been playing games lately that are not a fan of one 8 GBs of ram and so I have decided that i need to buy more ram. The question is, should i get 32GB or 16GB. 32GB would work better in my favor in a sense that I will never have to really worry about ram again however I dont know if the Laptop can handle this. Can anyone confirm whether or not the Laptop can handle 32GB of Ram?

Hello @Joseph_W

For future reference, the number you gave is the model series, not the specific model number.

You can find the exact model by opening the HP Support Assistant and looking up the Product number.

The Omen by HP Laptop 15-ce0xx series can be upgraded to 16GB of ram.

This manual is written for the 15-1xx series, but will apply the same as the previous 0xx model.

To run optimal memory, you need to match the timings of the current stick that is installed.

You can run a tool like cpuz or speccy to look up the memory timings of the current stick.

I highly doubt you will need more than that for gaming. Sure 32 would be great, but only if your system would actually need it. Unless you're doing high end rendering or such, 16 should fit the bill just fine.

Hope that helps.
