Do you mean you wish to upgrade it 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA yp 2TB 2.5" SSD ? That's sine. The limit is very high but due to physical size you can use 2TB (some vendors now have 4TB, for example

You can have other option: ADDing 1TB oe 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD to your machine and keep the slow HDD for storage. One example
