Product: HP ENVY 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-ep1000 IDS Base Model

A lot of games I can run perfectly fine at 60 FPS, my GPU utilization hovers around the 50-70% mark. Then suddenly for no reason I can find it will drop to 5-10 FPS with a 100% overall utilization. In task manger it seems that the 3D is the thing that is jumping up the most. I've already done a clean install of my drivers though Nvidia. I don't think there is any spikes in temperature or anything. 

 

Any help would be greatly apricated.
