To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Are you trying to log in with a local Windows account or a Microsoft account?
  • Do you remember if you set up any security questions, PIN, or fingerprint login?
  • Which version of Windows is installed on your laptop (Windows 10, Windows 11, etc.)?

In the meantime, here are a few steps you can try:

  • Microsoft Account Reset: If you use a Microsoft account, visit   from another device to reset your password.
  • Local Account Reset: If it’s a local account, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/reset-a-forgotten-microsoft-account-password-eff...  check if you set up password reset questions or a hint these may help you regain access.
  • Safe Mode Option: Restart your laptop and boot into Safe Mode. Sometimes this allows you to access recovery options.
  • HP Recovery Manager: On some HP laptops, pressing F11 during startup opens recovery options that may help you reset or restore access.
