I recently booted my HP laptop ( LAPTOP-A2DKD1T2 model number: 14s-fq0xxx ) after about a month of not being on it. I accidentally pressed the caps lock button and noticed this obnoxious pop up. I've tried everything the internet can tell me, been on Microsoft Support chat and had my BIOS updated and it cannot be turned off- the settings don't exist. Any suggestions excluding control panel, ease of access and keyboard settings will be appreciated as I've been on all of them, and so has the support assistant as they took over my screen. Many thanks.

Hi @Jack494,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating that you've exhausted so many avenues already. Let's try a few other potential solutions.
- HP Support Assistant: Sometimes, there might be specific settings or updates available through the HP Support Assistant that aren't readily accessible through standard menus. It might be worth checking if there's a specific update or setting related to the Caps Lock notification.
- BIOS Settings: You mentioned that your BIOS was updated, but sometimes there are additional settings buried within the BIOS that could control keyboard notifications. Double-check if there are any relevant options in the BIOS settings related to keyboard notifications or Caps Lock behavior.
- Registry Edits: This is a more advanced solution and should be approached with caution as editing the registry can potentially cause system instability if done incorrectly. However, some users have had success with modifying registry settings to disable specific notifications. I'd recommend researching thoroughly and possibly consulting with someone experienced with Windows registry edits before attempting this.
- Reinstall Windows: While drastic, reinstalling Windows could potentially reset any settings or configurations that might be causing the issue. However, this should be considered a last resort and should only be done after backing up important data.
I hope one of these suggestions helps you find a solution to the pesky Caps Lock notification!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
