HP Pavillion Gaming 15-dk0068wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, my laptop is the HP Pavillion Gaming 15-dk0068wm, and it has a Geforce 1050 graphics card and I was thinking of upgrading it to a 1070 TI. I was just wondering if this would work or not.

Hi:

In order to upgrade the graphics, you would need to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that comes with better graphics.  You may also need a new heatsink as well.

The cost of the parts alone would exceed the cost you originally paid for your notebook.

But they're dedicated graphics and are not attached for the motherboard.

All the 'dedicated' means is that the graphics memory is separate from the system memory.

There is no procedure to remove or replace a graphics card in the service manual.

Didn't you look at chapter 3 of the service manual?

There is a huge list of motherboards that come with different model nvidia GPU's.

The only notebooks that come with removable graphics adapters are the high end HP Z book mobile workstations.
