Hi,
I keep trying to change my resolution in games from 1080p to 4k while connected to a 4k TV but the highest I can go to is still 1080p. Is there a way to increase this to 4k in any game as I am able to set the resolution in my windows settings to 4k and also able to watch 4k videos on YouTube.

The series has
High-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) v.2.0 + HDCP 2.2 supporting up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz
You should be able to get 4K @ 60Hz thru HDMI port.
Now, please try a normal 4K MP4 file first. If no problem, you have to work out your games setup.
Regards.

What is your HP Omen 17 and how do you connect them ? Please note: many games allow you to setup resolution and fps. Remember: resolution goes up, refresh rate will go down same as fps goes down. Therefore you may not be able to set higher resolution to get designed refresh rate.
Regards.

Thank you for replying.
I connect them via hdmi cable and I have a omen 17 cb0591na. I usually get relatively high refresh rates at 1080p but would like to try gaming at maybe 4k 30 or 4k60 at lower settings. The games that I am trying them with are GTA V, the witcher 3 and forza horizon 4.
