Charger jack light goes on and off, won’t charge the battery.

The computer won’t turn on. When I plug in the charger, the light that indicates if it’s charging lights up and after a second, it turns off. I already bought a new charger, nothing. Bought a new power jack, nothing again. Already tried removing the battery and powering it up, nothing happened. What can I do?

There were no power outages/surges when I was last using it, though I had that problem of the battery not charging up properly. I always had to jiggle the charger and twist it around and then it would charge, that’s why I assumed it was the charger but it wasn’t. Thank you in advance

@Ricardo76 If jiggling the charger was the only way to make it work before it quit working entirely, and an alternate adapter isn't doing the trick either, the issue seems to be within the DC power connector on the system board, once replaced the part should work fine, that said, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link -

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
