Hi @E5USMC,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To determine whether the charger or the battery of your Victus laptop needs replacement, you can follow these steps for troubleshooting:

Check the Charger:

  • Ensure the charger is connected to a working power outlet.
  • Look for any visible damage on the charger or the cable.
  • Try using a different power outlet to see if the issue persists.
  • If possible, test the charger with another compatible device to verify if it's functioning correctly.

Inspect the Battery:

  • Make sure the battery is properly seated in the laptop.
  • Disconnect the charger and power on the laptop using only the battery to see if it has any charge.
  • If the laptop doesn't power on, the battery may be completely drained or malfunctioning.

Examine the Charging Port and Connections:

  • Make sure the charging port on the laptop is free from dust or debris.
  • Confirm that the charger is securely connected to the laptop without any looseness.

Battery and Charger Indicator Lights:

  • Check any LED indicators on the laptop for the charging status.
  • Refer to the description of the AC adapter and battery light signals (like white for fully charged, blinking amber for low battery, etc.) to understand the current status.
