Do you mean the battery does not hold charge ? Please use HPSA to test battery on your machine to see what it says.
Please let me tell you my story: My HP Omen is 61 months old now. I only use it once or twice sometimes more depending on my grandchildren activities.
After 20 months or so, battery died, I was trying to order a new one and from HP Part Surfer, replacement cost was over A$229
I decided to live with that and used my HP Omen on UPS when required..
One day it resurrected (I did not notice when) and I ran 3 minutes a go, it said Normal.
Sorry for the long story. Again, please run Battery test to see what it says
