Omen 15-ce070TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have given my hp Omen15-ce070TX  to HP service center, and they have said on my HDD as to be defective and have asked me to get HDD replaced with either of ssd:

256 GB 2280 M2 847109-023  =  8016.18 /- + 18% Tax

128 GB 2280 M2 912322-006  = 8002.95 /- + 18% Tax

As they seem to cost the same with one having greater storage, is the 128 GB of any greater utility than 256 GB?

I tried comparing, but didn’t get data. Can you all suggest on which ssd to buy? And my laptop is out of warranty; in hp policy I saw on hp saying installing refurbished or used parts during service, would here hp not give me a new ssd? Would I get bill with warranty of my ssd?

@Omen15-ce070TX Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to purchase the SSD.

Your product support Support for the following dual-storage configuration.

  • 1 TB 7200 rpm, 9.5 mm hard drive with 256 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 solid-state drive
  • 1 TB 7200 rpm, 9.5 mm hard drive with 128 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 solid-state drive

Please see the manual

In that case, you case purchase any one M2 SSD.

You could purchase the part from HP, use the HP Parts surfer to identify the part: http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx

And order it via the HP Parts store: https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/CountryChoice.aspx?mscssid=&ccode=ZZ&lcode=ZZ

Or alternatively, Contact HP for setting up an order/service via phone support
