Hi @ZNaC,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Cleaning the exhaust fans on your HP Omen laptop is indeed a good idea to maintain its performance and prevent overheating. If you're comfortable with disassembling electronics and have some experience, you can certainly open your laptop and clean the fans yourself.
However, it's essential to be cautious while doing so, as disassembling your laptop incorrectly could potentially damage it. Make sure to follow a guide specific to your HP Omen model and take necessary precautions such as grounding yourself to avoid static discharge.
Regarding the warranty, In many cases, opening the laptop by yourself may void the warranty, especially if you accidentally damage any components during the process. Some warranties explicitly state that only authorized technicians can perform repairs or modifications without voiding the warranty.
If your laptop is still under warranty, and you're unsure about whether cleaning the fans yourself will affect it, it's best to contact our HP support for guidance.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
