Compatible SSD and warranty for HP Omen 15-EK0013DX?

HP Recommended
HP Omen 15-EK0013DX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
  1. Is WD black SN750 SSD compatible with the empty second SSD slot in the HP Omen 15-EK0013DX?
  2. Do I void the warranty, if I add a new SSD to the empty second SSD slot?
  3. How to check the SSD compatibility for this laptop?
  4. What is the warranty period for this laptop?

@Detonics

The specs of your machine is

      https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06656951

It has

  • 512 GB Intel® SSD
  • 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD

both slots are occupied therefore you can not add more. You have to replace the second one. Looks like your machine runs RAID 0 therefore you have to disable RAID 0 first.

How big is your storage now ? C: + others.

A2. That is a 64 million dollars question with NO concrete answer. If no problem due to the upgrade then no problem but if something went wrong due to the upgrade you would have to talk with HP directly to work this out. HP would treat this as case-by-case basis.

Hope this makes sense.

A3. Like HDD, SSD drives are very standard now, in your case you can check the existing one from Device Manager.

A4. Normally 1 year

Regards.
