Hi,
Sometimes when left unattended for awhile, my screen would go black and unresponsive. The fans would turn to full blast and I would have to forcefully shut the computer down.
In addition to this, sometimes my computer would glitch while being used, the audio and video would glitch momentarily but return to normal within 5 seconds.
Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Hi @wemoveon
No idea, it could be all sorts of things.
Did you try running the Windows Task Manager, click once to highlight the CPU column and see if there was any service running a lot of percentage? If there is, you can disable that service and see how it does.
Make sure everything is up to date. You should run Windows updates and the HP Support Assistant to find anything needed.
I ONLY don't recommend letting it do a bios update. If it shows its needed, let me know what the actual product number is.
Press Control/Alt/S for the information menu in windows. Just dont post the serial number.
Ultimately, the last resort I have seen others with this problem do, is simply clean reinstall Windows.
