Computer InDesign problems

There is no Board in this community that I can find relevant to my situation so posting here in the hope someone can help or point me in the right direction

I bought an OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-wf0163TX this year. Operating System Windows. Version: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. In using InDesign 2025, I have had endless problems since I bought the computer in March. Unfortunately for this reason I have had to delay launching my business by 6 months. I have spent probably 40 hours with Adobe trying to fix the problem over multiple sessions by chat and phone. This included in one case four hours on the phone. The issue was escalated to the most senior engineers and I have spoken to several managers. Unfortunately no attempted solutions have worked so I have to wonder - is it the computer? Hence my question here. I have looked at all options myself for solutions including Google and YouTube.

Key Issues Experienced: (just some examples; there are many more)

  • Extreme slowness over the whole time I have used InDesign– InDesign often takes 1–5 minutes to execute even simple actions (e.g. changing paragraph alignment to centre, opening a document). Sometimes it can act at good speed though so I can’t see logic in what is going wrong.
  • Crashes & file errors – Endlessly freezing and crashing and I frequently receive Adobe error messages indicating system failures, almost every day, so it’s not user error. 
  • File loss – Documents disappear entirely (I now save backups to OneDrive).
  • File syncing failures – Files fail to sync, sometimes for days, so I can’t work on those documents.
