So a yesterday I opened up my laptop in order to replace the thermal paste. Once I put everything back together and turned it on, and then i got a reboot screen. so i hit enter to reboot and once it was on, i wasn't able to connect to my wifi. sometimes it says "cant connect to network" while other times it connects, but i get no signal and i cant load anything. what can I do? can I even do anything?

@H20Spyker , welcome to the forum.
It sounds to me like you may have not gotten the laptop reassembled correctly. You may not have gotten enough thermal compound/paste on the cpu. I suggest rechecking this and all other connections.

when i took it apart, i only took off the fan covers and the fans themseleves to replace the paste. I put enough thermal paste because when i turned it on i immediatly noticed a difference in sound and temperature. the only things i unplugged were the fans, and I made sure to put those back correctly. unless my battery somehow effected it? i did leave my laptop off for a day before opening and upon opening i took put the battery.

@H20Spyker, here is a guide to help you diagnose the problem. Of course, you will use the diagnostics using the BIOS in the second section.
