OMEN by HP Laptop 15-ce0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a problem for a while with my cooler being absolutely loud at times and I even felt my laptop vibrating.

I tried cleaning dust off the vents and the inside but that problem didn't resolve and now suddenly the cooler went quiet

and I guess my left cooler isn't working anymore considering that I get the b90 message at boot and laptop overheating

when playing simplest games.

How can I solve this issue? Do I have to by a replacement for my cooler? If so, what are the recommendations?

Furthermore, what should I really do if the cooler starts acting up noisy? What does it mean and what

is the proper way to solve that?

I'm really new at this so I hope it's not too hard.

Cheers

@Dominico,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

The error 90B is related to the system fan and you get this message when the system fan is not functioning correctly.

I recommend you update the BIOS and the chipset driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

If you continue facing the issue, then it may be a hardware malfunction and you need to replace the fan. I recommend you contact HP phone support and they will assist you with the available service option for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with the phone support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
