Hp Envy notebook - 15- k201ne (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

A while back my cooling fan started making a buzzing sound and didn't seem to work properly so I got my laptop opened and cleaned by a technician but the sound came back shortly after and the fan still didn't do it's full job. So I decided to change the fan and when I did the buzzing problem went away but thenew fan did a lot worse than the original and the CPU heat reached a 100 c° as soon as I opened a game. So I reinstalled the old original fan after I figured out it's still better in this state than the new unoriginal fan and of course the buzzing sound is now back and the CPU still heats to a 100 c° when I try to open any game. I've tried different technicians and different solution but nothing seems to help. I hope to find the solution here and know when to become worried about my laptop heat (the maximum heat that may damage it) and if possible , know the way to a new original fan for my laptop that can restore it back to normal because I haven't been able to use it properly since the beginning of the problem.

Thanks

Welcome to HP forums, I see that your printer keeps making noise and freezes.

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

Any recent hardware or software changes made to your PC?

To resolve issues such as Fan is Noisy and Spins Constantly:

  • Updating your Notebook computer BIOS
  • Keeping notebook air vents clear and clean
  • Increasing the efficiency of the notebook to reduce heat
  • Using Windows Task Manager to identify corrupt processes
  • Selecting power save settings to shut off your computer when it is not in use
