Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just purchased laptop fresh out of box today. Continued crackling whenever a sound starts on right side of speaker, sound carries through when wearing headphones on right side only. Have attempted to uninstall/reinstall Realtek countless times to no avail, very frustrated at this.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you uninstall the audio driver and then download and install it from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp107001-107500/sp107248.exe

If you continue facing the issue, then run the audio troubleshooter and it will automatically find and fix audio-related issues.

Here is how it is done.

- Launch Troubleshooting by typing and clicking “Troubleshooting” in Windows search.

 - Click on "Playing Audio".

 - Follow the on-screen instructions.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Appreciate the attempt friend but alas, it didn't work. I think the HP chap I spoke to seems to have confirmed it as a hardware fault, if you have any other driver ideas, I'm all ears to try but it seems my bad luck came into play with this one 😞
