Hello, I recently replaced the Korean/English keyboard (929479-AD1) on my OMEN ce027tx to an English keyboard (929479-001). I have also replaced the touchpad but kept the original mouse buttons. When I booted in, the keyboard, the touchpad, and the mouse button does not work at all. Should I purchase another top chassis/keyboard/ touchpad combo and give it a try, or is it because of the language on the keyboard. The layout is identical.

Hi @DrDavin
You replaced the Korean/English keyboard with (929479-001) keyboard, but you should have used a 929478-001 keyboard according to the Maintenance & service guide for your notebook.
The touchpad is probably not quite connected. You should have used the buttons that were delivered with it as already assembled. You may have inadvertently damaged the new touchpad assembly. You will need a new touchpad 929472-001. You can still use the original touchpad button bracket.
That is what I would do, but the notebook, of course, and the $$ expenditure is your own decision.
Once you have the new keyboard installed and the new touchpad connected, change the input language to English when you boot into Windows 10.
You should be able to do that from the lower right systray where the input language is shown. Click on it to see what is already set as default language and change the default language to the one that suits you.

Dear Erico,
Thank you very much for the reply. I re adjusted the ribbon for the touchpad and keyboard a couple times and they seem to be working again. The new keyboard and touchpad seem to be working well. Again, I really appreciate the help.
