I just bought a Pavilion Gaming 15 inch laptop (15-dk1167nf) equipped with an i5-10300H and a GTX 1650 Ti.
Running Overwatch, I got around 140 fps running the game on the laptop and about 240 fps (!) when plugging an external monitor. This is after setting the discrete GPU as the preferred option in the NvIdia control panel, so this option doesn't seem to diasble optimus.
I looked up in the laptop bios and in the Omen gaming hub but I couldn't find any option to disable Optimus while some manufacturers allow it on their laptops.
So my question is : is there any way to disable optimus on this laptop ? If not, could this be added as an option in a software update ? There's a huge amount of performance left on the table and having to plug a so-called gaming laptop to a monitor to get the full performance you paid for is quite ridiculous.
Hope this can be resolved, thanks in advance for your help.
