So I bought this Laptop June 23rd 2017 and all of a sudden I see a purple splotch on the bottom left hand side of my screen. I know this isn't normal and i have no idea if i can get it replaced or fixed. Don't I have some sort of manufacturer warranty?Purple splotchPurple splotch

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see that you're experiencing display issue on HP Omen Gaming Laptop,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • When was the last time it worked fine?
  • Have you checked the display on external monitor or TV?

While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

Let's check the display in bios environment:

  • Turn on or restart the computer.
  • While the display is blank, press the f10 key to enter the BIOS settings menu.

Once computer boots into bios environment check for the purple shade.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" from the drop-down menu on the upper right corner,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!

Thank you for the replay, i have since learned i am not under warrranty. Unfortunately i still have the stain even in the BIOS menu. Is there any way i can fix this issue on my own? i dont believe it is a display driver issue, i believe it may be the display itself. I do use my PC quite often and may just need a new one or repair
