Do hp return the damaged display after replacing a new display

Do hp service will return the damaged display seperately after replacing a new display on out of warrenty. Because i went to service center . To replace screen they say it will cost twenty three thousand rupees . But they say after replacing a new display. They will not return old display that's has some problem . Hp can you tell what service policies and where can i  get that . I request someone help me up with this doubt.  Device : omen 15 gaming laptop

1. Click on this link -  https://support.hp.com/us-en

2. Select the country.

3. Enter the serial number of your device.

4. Select the country from the drop-down.

5. Click on "Show Options".

6. Fill out the web form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
