Omen by HP Ce100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently bought a new docking station an Anker 13-1, and though the visuals and all the ports seem to be working fine I am not getting any usb-C charging. I have provided a picture of the port to prover laptop is indeep Thunderbolt 3 and should work fine with a USB-C charger.

Could it be that the 85 w of the docking station is not enough?

I don't know what is your Omen ce100 but I believe it uses 150W or 200W charger. The first thing I would say the dock and your Omen are not compatible.

From my calculation, you may be able to charge your machine overnight when you don't use your machine. The does not have enough power to do both things: drive your machine and charge at the same time.

I've got a story: you have a bucket full 10L of water, the bucket has a hole which will empty 10L in 5hrs, now you continuously pour 1L of water each hour, you will see what is the outcome.

Regards.

Thank you for your feedback. I was wondering if this was the case but I could not find the wattage on my laptop for the life not me.

My model number seems to be by a bit off.

It is 15-ce198wm. Hope that helps with where I would find the wattage for the device.
