@GlennMc777,

Generally, M.2 NVMe SSDs have no capacity limit, and you can install an NVMe SSD of 1 TB, 2 TB or more.

According to the service manual (on pages 1-2), your model comes with two M.2 slots.

Maintenance and Service Guide

You have the option to keep the current boot drive and install a new NVMe drive in the secondary slot and use it for data storage.

See this disassembly video. There are two M.2 slots located on the side of the battery with each slot being covered with a thermal cover (heat sink).

🛠️ HP Omen 15 (2021, 15-en1000) - disassembly and upgrade options

The manual describes how to install a thermal cover/pad on an M.2 drive on pages 33-34.
