Does HP Pavilion 15-ec2004ax have extra slots for RAM and SSD upgrades?

Hi:

As far as I am aware, the notebook only has one M.2 slot which is occupied by the 512 GB NVMe SSD your notebook has.

If you need more storage, you can replace the 512 GB NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity.

Your notebook can support up to 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory.

HP only has the service manual for the older 15-ec0xxx model series, but it should be of help for you to open up the notebook to do the upgrades.

Thank you, I guess opening the back is the only way to figure out what's inside which would void my warranty.

You're very welcome.

If you look at chapter 5 of the service manual, installing memory and a SSD should not void the warranty since it is a customer-authorized procedure.

I imagine that you would only void the warranty if you broke something in the process of opening up the notebook.

If your notebook ever were to need warranty service, you would need to return it to its original hardware configuration before sending it to HP for warranty work.
