Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa1000 (7C406AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I'd like to know where I can find information on the speeds of my on board SD Card reader for the Victus HP 15-fa1000. Specifically whether it's UHS-I or UHS-II, the latter of which is necessary for my field of work.

@Afro-Tech, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The HP Victus 15 (15-fa1000) gaming laptop, specifically the model 7C406AV, typically comes equipped with an SD card reader that supports UHS-I speeds, not UHS-II.

Since the SD card reader on your HP Victus 15 is likely UHS-I, it will not support the higher speeds that UHS-II offers. If your work requires UHS-II speeds for faster data transfer (for example, with high-resolution video or large media files), you would likely need to invest in a separate UHS-II compatible SD card reader that connects via USB-C or another high-speed port.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
