I am considering purchasing the HP Omen 16-wd0880TX laptop and would like to clarify the following points before proceeding:

1. Microsoft Office 2021 License:

Does this model come with a lifetime free license of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021 pre-installed, or is it a trial version that requires a separate purchase?

2. RAM & SSD Upgrade Options:

What is the maximum RAM capacity supported by this laptop?

Are there any additional SSD slots available for expansion, or does it require replacing the existing SSD?

Can the RAM and SSD be upgraded without voiding the warranty? If so, are there any specific guidelines?

3. MUX Switch Availability:

Does this model have a MUX switch or Advanced Optimus for direct GPU control and performance optimization?

Kindly answer these questions directly here in your reply. Please do not redirect me to any website or link. I am only looking for clear answers to these specific questions in this conversation.

Unofficially, I can tell you the following:

1. No HP notebook comes with a lifetime version of Office. All versions are trial versions.

2.  See chapter 1 of the service manual for the memory upgrade information.

Maintenance and Service Guide

The notebook supports up to 2 x 16 GB of memory.

The notebook only has support for one M.2 NVMe SSD.

Only the 16-wf0xxx model series have support for two M.2 NVMe SSD's.

If you want more storage you would have to replace the existing SSD with one having a greater storage capacity.

3. MUX switch:  The notebook does not have this feature.

Warranty:

Since we do not work for or represent HP, so we are unable to reply on HP's behalf regarding the warranty terms and conditions.

I recommend you contact HP customer service and seek a definite answer from HP.

Chapter 5 of the service manual indicates that installing SSD's or memory is a customer-authorized procedure, so off the record, I would assume that you will not void the warranty unless you break something in the process of doing the upgrades.

Do note however, that if your notebook ever needs warranty work, you must return the notebook to its original hardware configuration before sending it in for service.
