Can you confirm the GPU TGP / Total Graphics Power of the NVIDIA RTX 5070 Laptop GPU in the HP OMEN 17-db1006nr?
I need the exact wattage limit (base + Dynamic Boost).

@i_tafseer,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

We cannot confirm a single "exact wattage (base + Dynamic Boost)" for the RTX 5070 in the HP OMEN 17-db1006nr, because HP has not publicly specified a TGP in its performance spec sheet for that exact model.

  • Based on the available evidence:

    • The low official HP number (60-watt) is plausible if HP is power-capping that SKU aggressively.

    • However, higher TGPs (up to ~120-watt) have been reported by users / third-party sources, so it's possible that different units or BIOS / vBIOS versions could allow more.

Suggested Diagnostic Tools:

  • Use freeware software such as GPU-Z or HWiNFO to monitor actual power draw under load (e.g., during a benchmark) -that will tell you what TGP your specific machine is using.

  • If you want maximum GPU performance, make sure the laptop is in a high-performance power profile, cooling is good, and you want to check for BIOS / vBIOS updates frequently.

Kind Regards,
