Hi,
with a Pavillion Gaming dk1325ng there comes a SSD in the m.2 slot.
A HDD/SATA slot is free, and other variants of dk... come with a 1TB HDD.
I would like to add a 2TB, 7mm height old school HDD for more data.
The I know slot is there, but how about the cable and brackets?
According to http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06377664.pdf page 37 (45) I could order a cable
L56898-001
but not the brackets. Which is, er, weird. So: will there be brackets?
(If not, any clou on how to get them? Or am I lost then?)
Thank you very much,
Douwe

There is no guarantee the brackets/harness will be there. You have to open the case and physically look to see if its there.
Most of the time it is there with a plastic box place holder. If not, HP didn't make them available to purchase separately. You would have to see what you could find yourself online somewhere else, or get creative. I don't have a source.

Did you read the killer part:
The hard drive brackets are not available as a spare part
and at the beginning IMPORTANT! This document is intended for HP authorized service providers only
an HP Service provider would be able to help you.
Regards.
