Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hi, it should be almost a week that i'm experiencing sudden fps drops on all of my games, games that worked just fine before.

i don't know the fps that i had before (but for sure over 60 FPS) but now they drop all of a sudden to 20/15/10/5 FPS, i tried to set the graphics to the lowest levels but nothing changed, my CPU has temperature of 97 degrees and the GPU goes up to 91 when i'm in performance mode, it seems like the fans can't cool down the PC like they did before, i've already tried to clean them but it was only SLIGHTLY better, before all this happens when i was in comfort mode the temperatures went down to 50/53 degrees, now it's hard to get to 60, gaming is almost impossible due to the framerate and i really don't know what to do anymore, can someone help me please?

Hi @Cheshire98k

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

What is the exact model of HP PC are you using?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

For now, kindly update BIOS and graphic drivers from the HP Support site.

  • Go to Start Menu > click on Settings.

  • Type performance > choose to adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.

  • In the new window, go to the Visual Effects and select Adjust for best performance.

  • Click Apply and ok. Check for the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
