Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Sometimes during online game play, my FPS may suddenly drop. It only happens occasionally. I am using an ethernet wired connection and playing an online multiplayer game.  I was hoping someone could tell me about what factors may be causing the issues and what I can do to improve or prevent that from happening. Thanks.
