Hi there!
I recently purchased an HP Omen 15-dh1266ng.
Now when I play games directly from the laptop there are no problems.
But if I connect an external monitor, I have extreme FPS drops after about 1-2 minutes of playing time. The FPS also fluctuate permanently and drop to 10 FPS.
The monitor is a HP25X with 144Hz. Under Windows I set the setting that only screen 2 should be used - so the laptop screen is deactivated.
The laptop is connected to the monitor via a display port cable.
I haven't changed the graphics settings in the games. In both cases a resolution of 1920x1080 is used. The laptop is always connected to the power supply. In addition, the energy options are set for maximum performance.
Can someone tell me why this could be?
Thanks in advance !
Mike

I reviewed your post and I understand that the fps drops when you connect an external monitor to the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.
BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111001-111500/sp111191.exe
Intel: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111501-112000/sp111618.exe
Nvidia: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111501-112000/sp111538.exe
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
